I'm excited about starting to write my new series of horse adventures about 13 year old, Kelsie Ridout. The stories take place in and around the islands off the coast of Nova Scotia.

Gallop to the Sea...

Caspar knew immediately that he had someone on his back who had never ridden without a saddle, let alone along an ocean shore. He plunged straight into the waves, and nothing Kelsie could do would make him stop.

The water was icy cold.

Spray dashed up as they splashed through the shallow surf. Kelsie gasped as waves sloshed over them. Would Caspar keep swimming straight out to sea?

Kelsie's feet and legs were numb and cold, but she was laughing with the pure joy of riding a swimming horse in the ocean. it was a fantastic feeling!
