What's new? This year I've really enjoyed working as a volunteer with a therapeutic riding program. My husband Jeff and I went every Thursday, spring, summer and fall, to work with the horses and disabled riders.

We groomed the horses: Sam, Calibar, Ebony, Callie, and Sandy Ray. Then one helper led the horse while two others were sidewalkers steadying the rider from either side.

In this picture you see a rider named Jessica Traversey giving Calibar a big hug. We've just come back from a long trail ride on a cool November morning. Everybody feels good especially Calibar who knows Jessica will treat him to apples and carrots. Great horse! Great rider!
